Our Ukrainian evolution

Our self portraits from my girlfriend’s first visit to Ukraine, till her last. Ukrainians are known for their expressionless faces in photographs, hence our attempt to channel that. Some of us expats call this look the “stone face.”

The two of you definitely have the blank stare of photography down. Too funny. While I’m sure your glad to move on (and be with your pretty girlfriend) I’ll miss your dispatches from Artemovsk. I’ve enjoyed your view of eastern Ukraine and Artemovsk.

    Good luck

You two are beautiful together and your photos are really lovely. I think this blank stare/stone face thing is so much more real and honest-looking in posed pictures than a forced smile. These are inspiring and thanks for sharing.
